Discover Limited Edition The idealistic roots can probably be traced back to ancient Greece. The philosophical adjustment for the classification and appreciation of the formal qualities of an oeuvre is therefore already derived from a statement by Plato: "Straight lines and circles are ... not only beautiful ... but eternally and absolutely beautiful". Basically, Plato wanted to express that non-representational images (e.g. simple geometric forms) possess an absolute, unchanging beauty. Accordingly, a work can be appreciated and valued merely on the basis of its lines and colours - it is not obliged to represent a natural object or a representational scene. Abstract art as we know it today, on the other hand, is much younger and originated as a departure from classical and traditional academic painting in Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Shortly after 1900, the first painters and sculptors began to move further and further away from the reproduction of the real world. Wassily Kandinsky's path from a stylising painting committed to the Munich Art Nouveau style is well known, through numerous stages of development to abstract compositions culminating in the pure non-objectivity of organic and geometric forms. For artists like Kandinsky, the depiction of reality was no longer decisive. The Russian artist wanted to recognise the only truth in the inner being of man, and this inner being, the world of feelings, was to be reflected on the canvas in abstract colours and forms. The art historian Wilhelm Worringer had already written an essay on "Abstraction and Empathy" in 1907. It said: "The tendency towards abstraction is the consequence of a deep insecurity of man in the face of the world." Kandinsky laid down a programmatic foundation with his 1910 essay: On the Spiritual in Art laid the theoretical foundation for the new direction in painting. Whether he was the pioneer in the history of the development of abstraction is, however, debatable. According to his own statements, he painted his first non-objective picture in 1910. Today, however, it is assumed that Kandinsky predated this picture; he probably did not paint it until 1913. The Czech František Kupka had already begun to paint abstract pictures in 1911. However, according to a report by the journalist and historian Julia Voss in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in April 2011, Hilma af Klint (1862-1944) is considered the first artist to paint abstract pictures. After a series of small-format paintings in November 1906, she created her first large-format painting in 1907. Other pioneers of abstract painting were the artists Sonia Delaunay-Terk, Robert Delaunay and Francis Picabia, who were active in France, the Dutchman Piet Mondrian and Sophie Taeuber-Arp, who worked in Switzerland and France. In sculpture, the works that were actually non-objective were not created until around 1920 by the Ukrainian sculptor Alexander Archipenko, the Russian Constructivist El Lissitzky and the English sculptor Henry Moore. Join the Elite Circle The Most Valuable & Expensive Works of Art in The World Be one of the owners of this limited edition and buy one of the 3333 hand signed books! Discover Limited Edition Early Gothic is the style of architecture that appeared in northern France, Normandy and then England between about 1140 and the mid-13th century. It combined and developed several key elements from earlier styles, particularly from Romanesque architecture, including the rib vault, flying buttress, and the pointed arch, and used them in innovative ways to create structures, particularly Gothic cathedrals and churches, of exceptional height and grandeur, filled with light from stained glass windows. Notable examples of early Gothic architecture in France include the ambulatory and facade of Saint-Denis Basilica; Sens Cathedral (1140); Laon Cathedral; Senlis Cathedral; (1160) and most famously Notre-Dame de Paris (begun 1160). Early English Gothic was influenced by the French style, particularly in the new choir of Canterbury Cathedral, but soon developed it own particular characteristics, particularly an emphasis for length over height, and more complex and asymmetric floor plans, square rather than rounded east ends, and polychrome decoration, using Purbeck marble. Major examples are the nave and west front of Wells Cathedral, the choir of Lincoln Cathedral, and the early portions of Salisbury Cathedral. Early Gothic was succeeded in the early 13th century by a new wave of larger and taller buildings, with further technical innovations, in a style later known as High Gothic. Biography I was born on June 26, 1962, in Valence. Growing up in an artistic environment, I was deeply influenced by my rich family heritage. As the niece of Philippe Hadengue, a French painter and writer, and the great-granddaughter of Louis Michel Hadengue, an impressionist painter who studied under Léon Bonnat and associated with illustrious figures such as Gustave Caillebotte, Henri de Toulouse- Lautrec, and Raoul Dufy. In this environment where art, history, and literature are highly valued, I was able to flourish and develop my passion for artistic creation. I began my artistic work at the age of 15. My career evolved from figurative oil painting to increasingly abstract works, incorporating various materials and objects to create three-dimensional compositions with Plexiglas. I had the honor of being among the first French artists to exhibit Plexiglas works in New York, acclaimed by several contemporary art fairs in the United States. Despite a period of immobility due to a herniated disc after an exhibition in Korea in 2007, I explored new materials and created my first contemporary art video, "Conscience effet mère. " This film was selected as "Best Artist Film" at the Courts Devant Short Film Festival and was screened at the Cinéma des Cinéastes in Paris in 2014. In 2013, following the sudden death of my brother, I returned to figurative painting with the series "My Unusual Portraits," merging hyperrealism and surrealism. This series was presented at the 2017 Venice Biennale at the Palazzo Mora. Artistic Inspiration and Themes My works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and the United States, demonstrating my international stature in the contemporary art world. I draw my artistic inspiration from the entire history of art, but also from literature and, more specifically, from philosophy. Each of my paintings is a question about the meaning we can give to existence, a question posed to life. Currently, I am finishing writing a 300-page autobiographical novel that depicts the birth of a painter, from childhood to adulthood. This book explores the influences and formative experiences that have shaped the artist I have become, offering an introspective look at the quest for meaning and creativity that permeates my pictorial works. Evenement My next painting exhibition will take place in November and December 2024 at the Place des Vosges gallery in Paris. A significant portion of the "Unusual Portraits" series will be featured, a series that embodies this philosophical and literary exploration of existence through representations that blend figuration and surrealism. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts. Join the Elite Circle Our Mission and Actions At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Discover Limited Edition Romanesque art is the art of Europe from approximately 1000 AD to the rise of the Gothic style in the 12th century, or later depending on region. The preceding period is known as the Pre-Romanesque period. The term was invented by 19th-century art historians, especially for Romanesque architecture, which retained many basic features of Roman architectural style – most notably round-headed arches, but also barrel vaults, apses, and acanthus-leaf decoration – but had also developed many very different characteristics. In Southern France, Spain, and Italy there was an architectural continuity with the Late Antique, but the Romanesque style was the first style to spread across the whole of Catholic Europe, from Sicily to Scandinavia. Romanesque art was also greatly influenced by Byzantine art, especially in painting, and by the anti-classical energy of the decoration of the Insular art of the British Isles. From these elements was forged a highly innovative and coherent style. Discover Limited Edition Dadaism or Dada was an artistic and literary movement founded in Zurich in 1916 by Hugo Ball, Emmy Hennings, Tristan Tzara, Richard Huelsenbeck, Marcel Janco and Hans Arp, characterised by a rejection of "conventional" art and art forms - which were often parodied - and bourgeois ideals. Dada had a considerable impact on modern art and on contemporary art. Essentially, it was a revolt against art on the part of the artists themselves, who rejected the society of their time and its value system. Traditional art forms were therefore used satirically and exaggeratedly. For their revolt, the actors of this movement chose the deliberately banal-sounding name Dada. Dadaism is the term usually used today for this art movement. In the artists' sense, the term Dada(ism) stands for total doubt about everything, absolute individualism and the destruction of established ideals and norms. Artistic procedures determined by discipline and social morality were replaced by simple, arbitrary, mostly random actions in image and word. The Dadaists insisted that Dada(ism) could not be defined. When Dadaism began to consolidate, the Dadaists called for this order to be destroyed again, since that was precisely what they wanted to destroy. This made Dadaism again what it wanted to be: complete anti-art that was unclassifiable. Comparisons with Futurism or Cubism were rejected. The centres of Dadaism were Zurich, Paris, New York, Cologne, Berlin and Hanover. The Dadaists rejected bourgeois culture and instead sought new forms of expression in art. Thus they strove for a return to childlike naivety and were of the opinion that every human being was an artist. The basis of Dadaism was chance and the arbitrariness of materials. The Dadaists placed the lecture in the form of the sound poem with musical accompaniment (in the form of soundscapes) at the centre of their performances. Their artistic means were: Montages, collages. The Dadaists sometimes combined visual art, music and literature. Surrealism, neorealism and concrete poetry were inspired by the Dadaists. Join the Elite Circle The Most Valuable & Expensive Works of Art in The World Be one of the owners of this limited edition and buy one of the 3333 hand signed books! Discover Limited Edition Along with Fluxus, the Happening is one of the most important forms of action art of the 1960s. A happening is an event improvised directly with the audience. One of the early forms of happening is the dé-coll/age happening. This includes throwing objects into the audience, exhibitionism, orgies of blood and paint, destroying, tearing, spoiling objects. The aim is to create a shock effect on an audience that is involved in the event through a wide variety of actions. The audience is part of the action conceived by the artist. The audience is included in the artistic actions, whereby the course of events is not fixed from the outset. Depending on the reaction of the audience, improvisation can vary (although happenings are seldom completely improvised, but rather rehearsed in advance). This also means that happenings usually do not have a fixed time frame; often the audience does not even know when the happening is over. Another characteristic of the happening is the use of different objects and their random or deliberate juxtaposition, which is also a basic principle of surrealism. The term was first used by Allan Kaprow in 1959 for an action at the Reuben Gallery in New York, which consisted of 18 happenings in six parts. There were three rooms, separated from each other by plastic sheeting, in which the events took place at the same time. However, Kaprow had already used the term in his essay "The Legacy of Jackson Pollock", published in 1958, where he sketched out a prognosis for the art of the post-Pollock generation. The aim of the Happening artists was to expand the traditional concept of art and to connect art with everyday life. In doing so, everyday actions were to be made clear to people and thereby abstracted. The boundary between Fluxus and Happening cannot be defined exactly, as some artists orientate themselves towards and participate in both forms of action.
