Artistic Background

2003 - 2006

6 semesters at the Free Academy of Art and Literature

2020 Art Academy Bad Reichenhall

About the Artist

For over 20 years, following her training at the Free Art Academy, this talented artist has dedicated herself to painting. Her work is best described by the term "emotionally interpreted realism." Capturing "states of being" has become her trademark, which highlights her considerable success among buyers and admirers at numerous exhibitions both domestically and internationally.

Continuous Development as a Life Principle

With the series "Earth - Water - Iron," she ventures into completely new territory, both stylistically and intellectually. It represents her maturation process on canvas. Yet, she remains true to her hallmark: capturing emotionally interpreted reality.

Moreover

By expanding her own soul space into the depths of matter and the expanses of the universe, not only does her perception and its expression on canvas expand, but also that of the observer. What appears to be non-objective becomes objective. The mind creates and dissolves images. The power of the creative process becomes palpable. One feels the connection to the elements that have shaped us into what we are—expressed with gratitude.

Our Mission and Actions

At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.

By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Artistic Approach

My education at the Free Art Academy from 2003 to 2006 marked the beginning of my journey into the world of painting. The years that followed I consider a continuous learning process. In 2019, I fully disengaged from other activities to dedicate myself entirely to my career as an artist.

My goal is to continually learn new things, to experiment — which explains the diversity of my stylistic approaches — and to become freer in the creative process. It is crucial to feel a definite "YES" in what I do, to know that this is my world, and to move forward with this passion within me. What always remains paramount is the emotion conveyed through my work, touching people, which is possible not only through the subject matter.

I believe I am on the right path, allowing things to evolve as they will. I aim to immerse the viewer in the world they wish to enter, not focusing on what they see, but what they feel, which ultimately stays with them.

There is always a part of me that shakes me, calls for change, sets higher standards, and thus drives my work forward anew. I love the hours spent in the STUDIO... I love painting... and my aim is to bring more ease into my existence as an artist through greater recognition. Beatrix S. Zygartowski
