Our Mission and Actions

At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.

By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Personal Statement | Visions & Goals

Monika Schönbacher- Frischenschlager:

Areas of work: painting, graphics, each in thematic cycles, installations.

What is important to me: It has always been very important to me to sensitize children to environmental problems, but also to social developments that are related to prejudices. Four children's books were created and published by Keiper. I illustrated the books with oil paintings that served as templates, some of which contained abstract elements and with short texts for explanation. In addition, three books, as unique pieces, each with 80 color graphics and haiku poetry.

Topics:

Critical statement on the environment (nature and society)

The last exhibitions:

Two-time participation in Buenos Aires, "Lineas de Vida"

2021 & 2023 | Museo Casa Carnacini

2024 | Galerie Rosso Cinabro, Rome.

2024 | Leonardo da Vinci Art Prize, Milan.

2024 & 2025 | on the topic of "Skewed Position" in Oberlaa, then in the Botanical Garden in Graz, both outdoors.

As a team worker, I organized three exhibitions with installations with 18 artists each. The artists, with very well-known names, took part because they were very interested in the topics. "Holzweg", "Wanderungen", "Recycling, the Pillars of the World". I also made my own artistic contribution. All artists dealt with critical topics. The installations were presented in public places. "THE PATH IS THE GOAL!"
