Our Mission and Actions

At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.

By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Exploring the Artistic Journey of Martina Reinhart | A Blend of Visual Arts, Philosophy, and Interdisciplinary Themes

Martina Reinhart's work explores various thematic focuses, which she then translates into cycles using different techniques. Initially, she engaged with drawing and painting. After a scholarship in Barcelona, she began to incorporate screen printing into her artwork. During a stay in Los Angeles, she discovered the technique of photograms, which she executed using her own body. Her work delves into themes of beauty, transience, and scars, as well as the societal reception of women, men, and children. Following her series on 'Chimeras' and 'Dream Creatures,' she turned her attention to knowledge and knowledge structures. With the cycle 'Body/Media/Knowledge,' she connects her two major areas of focus through media, referencing Marshall McLuhan and his concept of 'extensions.' This was followed by the cycle 'K(C)ommunik(c)ation.' In 2022, with the series 'Homages to Poets and Thinkers,' Reinhart connected her visual art with the literary by dedicating images and her own texts to authors and companions relevant to her work, such as Kant, Deleuze, Simone de Beauvoir, H. Arendt, etc., and their ideas. This also led to the idea for her next work cycle: Music is very important to Martina Reinhart and her work; she consistently selects music that complements the themes she is currently exploring and enhances the dynamics of her creative process. Her inspirations range from classical to jazz, rock, and alternative music genres, all finding their place in her work, which she honors with paintings and drawings on paper and canvas.

Her next project will focus on the concept of world order...

Martina Reinhart graduated with a degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and earned a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Vienna. She lives in Vienna and Lower Austria and has held numerous exhibitions both domestically and internationally, with works in public and private collections.
