I had the privilege of participating in several prestigious events, including exhibitions at ZeeArts Gallery Dubai in collaboration with the United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Notable venues included Art Basel in Basel and the Blue Zone at Expo City in Dubai during COP28.

I am also currently involved in a book project with selected international artists, aiming to showcase diverse artistic expressions and narratives.

Biography | Kamila Hyo (Hlobil)

I was born in 1978 in Brno, a city in communist Czechoslovakia. My early education culminated in a degree from a nursing school, but art entered my life much earlier. I grew up observing and analyzing the work of my mother, a talented painter, from whom I later learned the craft.

In 1999, I emigrated to Switzerland, where, coming from a communist background, I greatly appreciate the practice of direct democracy. Here, I became a mother to two children.

By 2020, I had reignited my passion for painting, breathing new life into my artistic side. This revival spurred me to organize exhibitions and participate in art projects, providing valuable opportunities to exchange ideas and grow alongside other artists. I also relish visiting galleries worldwide, where I find particular admiration for the old masters.

Our platform provides carefully curated access to artworks selected by art experts, guaranteeing a selection of the highest quality.

Our Mission and Actions

At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.

By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Statement | Kamila Hyo

I am passionate about using oil paints to explore the interplay of dimensionality with light and colors. Observing how the entire process evolves is fascinating—not just the act of painting, but how the subjects themselves transform. Yet, in my artwork, these subjects are captured in their elemental state, immune to the passage of time, as if frozen in a moment where time ceases to exist. This imbues my paintings with a quality that is not just contemporary, but truly timeless.

Every visible thing has a deep-rooted origin that eludes complete understanding. I engage with these fundamental aspects, concentrating on them comprehensively so that the essence becomes perceptible to the viewer.

My next goal:

I am working on a book project that aims to weave a narrative that resonates with and deeply moves the readers.

General goals:

Through my art, I strive to spark joy in viewers, guiding them into a realm of boundless possibilities and imagination.
