Our Mission and Actions
At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.
By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.
Personal Statement | Vision and Goals
By listening and living close to Nature I have developed the ability to follow Nature’s example in order to free up my true nature, my true identity.
Because Artmaking is something that runs deep within my nature, creativity is the one constant and reliable means of transport on my journey of self-discovery. Inevitably many surprises are encountered along the way, de-constructions, conflicts, evolution, growth, and those joyous periods of unbounded positive energy and happiness.
Interest in organic forms and materials found in nature, has been a constant presence in my work.
In this new series “THE TIES THAT BIND” my curiosity art practice moving towards the exploration tree-dimensional space: investigation of sculpture from paper pulp, beeswax, treads, branches and LED lights.
I am inspired by the ancient myths about the life the tree, considered the perfect universal symbol of life, because it was shaped by the necessity of life.
The use of the oval egg shape references an attempt to look of the cosmic egg, the mythological model major symbol in creation myths, occurring in all parts of the world and including in Eastern European, my childhood’s folktales.
Fascinated by alarming beauty of falling apart of the wood into pulp, the use of the oval shaped egg called AB-OVO (from the beginning) sculptures and adding light to them, becomes a metaphor for change, birth of the new meanings and identities.
By pouring, folding, breaking these transient forms my interaction with the medium becomes important. I record pieces in history that are simultaneously erased and reflect on the creation of new.
The artwork I create is influenced by the different cultural experiences to which I have been exposed and the way those interactions build my identity. Cultural and language barriers provoke a sense of displacement and generate a wide range of emotional reactions that shape my perception of and interaction with the outer world. I translate these feelings into my natural objects found in the forest around my studio through expressive surfaces created by the cotton based paper pulp, treads, beeswax and LED lighting. Like my own skin, my paper sculpture are thin and fragile barriers between the internal and external world. And like, the natural color of white cotton and that texture the surfaces of my works record time and stories, veiling and yet revealing who we are.
My vocation is making art that helps people to stay positive.
Looking for an international art community, to share, connect in a deeper level.
To participate in events, art residencies and organize collaborative art projects.
Participate to Hungarian Art & Business (HAB) innovative professional development opportunities. Using my knowledge in marketing help Eastern European artists to promote and sell their work. Find venues in Europe to develop and show my recent series of artworks THE TIES THAT BIND.
Search for solutions the issues of our time, which I define as follows:
· The knowledge of the indigenous people is part of the universal world heritage, and it is our
responsibility to make this education heard and seen by as many people as possible.
· Understand the wisdom codes of the cutting-edge technologies and spiritual wisdom of
indigenous knowledge, an essential task for the survival of humanity.
· Find ways to connect people through our innate ancient culture and contemporary art practices.
