Biography
I was born on June 26, 1962, in Valence. Growing up in an artistic environment, I was deeply influenced by my rich family heritage. As the niece of Philippe Hadengue, a French painter and writer, and the great-granddaughter of Louis Michel Hadengue, an impressionist painter who studied under Léon Bonnat and associated with illustrious figures such as Gustave Caillebotte, Henri de Toulouse- Lautrec, and Raoul Dufy. In this environment where art, history, and literature are highly valued, I was able to flourish and develop my passion for artistic creation. I began my artistic work at the age of 15.
My career evolved from figurative oil painting to increasingly abstract works, incorporating various materials and objects to create three-dimensional compositions with Plexiglas. I had the honor of being among the first French artists to exhibit Plexiglas works in New York, acclaimed by several contemporary art fairs in the United States. Despite a period of immobility due to a herniated disc after an exhibition in Korea in 2007, I explored new materials and created my first contemporary art video, "Conscience effet mère. " This film was selected as "Best Artist Film" at the Courts Devant Short Film Festival and was screened at the Cinéma des Cinéastes in Paris in 2014.
In 2013, following the sudden death of my brother, I returned to figurative painting with the series "My Unusual Portraits," merging hyperrealism and surrealism. This series was presented at the 2017 Venice Biennale at the Palazzo Mora.
Artistic Inspiration and Themes
My works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and the United States, demonstrating my international stature in the contemporary art world.
I draw my artistic inspiration from the entire history of art, but also from literature and, more specifically, from philosophy. Each of my paintings is a question about the meaning we can give to existence, a question posed to life. Currently, I am finishing writing a 300-page autobiographical novel that depicts the birth of a painter, from childhood to adulthood. This book explores the influences and formative experiences that have shaped the artist I have become, offering an introspective look at the quest for meaning and creativity that permeates my pictorial works.
Evenement
My next painting exhibition will take place in November and December 2024 at the Place des Vosges gallery in Paris. A significant portion of the "Unusual Portraits" series will be featured, a series that embodies this philosophical and literary exploration of existence through representations that blend figuration and surrealism.

Our Mission and Actions
At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.
By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.
