Brief Biography
Beatriz Gerenstein was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and now lives and works in Miami, United States.
Gerenstein began her artistic journey with painting, training under international artists around the world. However, her discovery of three-dimensional creation marked a shift to another artistic dimension, with sculpture fully captivating her interests.
In a world rife with wars, selfishness, physical and symbolic violence, political cynicism, and ongoing threats to both the environment and the human species, Gerenstein has chosen to focus on the human condition, exploring themes of love, friendship, anguish, pleasure, joy, pain, and spirituality.
Gerenstein enjoys interacting with people at exhibitions, appreciating the visitors' comments and the emotions that her sculptures elicit when they engage with her aesthetic message.
Her sculptures' strength, beauty, and social relevance have opened many doors, allowing her to participate in significant art events worldwide. Gerenstein's work has been extensively exhibited in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Taiwan.
Gerenstein was commissioned to install a permanent monumental sculpture, "Harmony," in a public park in Pudong, Shanghai, China. Standing 23 feet tall and weighing 5 tons, this bronze sculpture depicts a large tree with branches transforming into human figures dancing together in celebration of life, transcending distinctions of race, religion, or social status.
Gerenstein has participated in the IX Florence Biennale, the 12th Havana Biennale, the 15th and 16th Venice Architecture Biennale, and multiple exhibitions across the USA, Europe, and Mexico.
She has also participated in exhibitions organized by the European Cultural Center during the 56th, 57th, and 58th Venice Art Biennale.
Gerenstein was honored with a highly successful solo exhibition at the Museo de la Quadreria in Bologna, Italy, in January 2020, just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in northern Italy. Hundreds of visitors admired her contemporary sculptures, which presented a harmonious yet poignant contrast to the classical paintings of the 16th and 17th centuries that adorn the museum walls.
In the USA, Beatriz Gerenstein is represented by Townsend Street Gallery and in Italy by Simon Bart Gallery.

Our Mission and Actions
At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.
By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.
