Artistic Journey

My artistic journey began with painting, collage, and drawing, which became mediums through which I could express my thoughts, emotions, dreams, and the entirety of my soul. Over time, I developed a unique artistic style characterized by unconventional colors, shapes, and the integration of diverse materials such as oil crayon, acrylic, linseed oil varnish, charcoal, pencil, and various types of wood and fresco techniques.

The birth of my son, Loris Julian Zion, in 2010 marked a significant milestone, infusing new inspiration into my work. In 2013, I established my studio in the historic Villa Ledebur in Alkoven, Upper Austria, which has become a central hub for my creative activities. My passion for capturing the essence of various cultures and landscapes has led me on numerous painting trips to Mediterranean countries including Southern Italy, Ibiza, India, Greece, and Bali.

In 2020, I founded the "Feensalon" in Alkoven, a creative space that embodies my commitment to art and community engagement. My artworks are intricate, evolving over time as each layer adds depth and complexity. I employ materials like Kleenex tissues, silk paper, and fabric to create multidimensional tableaus that feature areas of transparency, veiling, and unexpected re-emergences of elements. These pieces act as vessels that infuse matter with light and consciousness, depicting universes within universes and thoughts within thoughts.

Symbols frequently surface in my work, manifesting my soul's expressions and my spiritual and artistic aspirations. These symbols — ranging from hearts and moons to planets and other spiritual icons — represent the energetic virtues I explore through my art.

Artist Profile | A Journey Through Cosmic Inquiry and Artistic Expression

Born on August 28, 1979, in Stockerau, Austria, my journey has been a blend of deep philosophical inquiry and creative exploration. After completing my secondary education at BG Bad Ischl in 2000, I pursued higher education in Painting and Process-Oriented Art Forms at the Vienna Art School, earning my diploma in 2007.

From a young age, I have been deeply engrossed in the fundamental questions of existence, pondering the purpose of life, the origins of the cosmos, the essence of love, and the nature of joy and spirituality. These contemplations on complex topics such as the soul, the interconnection of body and consciousness, and the potential of extraterrestrial life have profoundly influenced my creative endeavors.

Growing up, I grappled with the tangible impacts of fear, distinction, ego, loneliness, pain, and desire—universal elements of the human experience. This intense personal exploration and periods of solitude led me to delve into various fields including spirituality, philosophy, psychology, and meditation, all of which have enriched my understanding of the 'Big Whole.' Music, a constant companion, has been a source of inspiration and comfort, fostering a sense of understanding and connection.

Our Mission and Actions

At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.

By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.

Personal Statement

My purpose as an artist is to serve as a conduit for the zeitgeist, collective aspirations, and the spiritual cosmos, aiming to inspire introspection and empathy in my audience. I believe in the harmony of love and peace and advocate for the exploration of diverse perspectives to uncover multiple truths that lead us towards a universal, profound truth rooted in the universe and every spiritual heart.

In addition to painting, I explore other artistic forms such as music, photography, and installation, which allow me to expand my creative expression across various platforms. Collaborating with artists from different backgrounds enhances my creativity and broadens my perspective.

My artworks are not only aesthetically pleasing but are also designed to engage, heal, open minds, evoke memories, and liberate spirits. They are testaments to my life's journey, and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to walk this path and for every individual who has inspired and supported me along the way.
