Our Mission and Actions
At THE ART HUB, our mission is initially focused on addressing a profound imbalance within the art world, specifically catering to women artists. In the current landscape, a mere 5% to 15% of artworks traded at auctions are created by women, starkly contrasted by the overwhelming 85% to 95% of works by male artists. This disparity is not only confined to auctions but is also prevalent in exhibitions, where male-created art significantly overshadows that of their female counterparts.
By concentrating our efforts on female artists, THE ART HUB aims to counteract this imbalance and champion women within the art community. This initiative is designed to amplify the visibility of women artists, making their creations more accessible to a wider audience, and ultimately striving for a more balanced representation of genders within art auctions and exhibitions. By prioritizing women in art, our platform boldly advocates for equality and diversity within the art sector, signaling a commitment to reshaping and enriching the cultural landscape.
Personal Statement & Vision and Goals
'Embracing Sustainability Through Art'
In each of my works, I strive to convey something deeper than what is visually depicted, using both iconic and plastic elements to transmit the artwork's expressive force. I find particular joy in exploring how the content of my work interacts with denotation versus connotation, and explicit versus implicit meanings. This is why language, especially through titles, becomes integral to each piece. The connotations embedded in these titles breathe life beyond their literal definitions, creating unexpected intersections that invite viewers to formulate their own interpretations.
My exploration of industrial cans has focused on materials seemingly at the end of their life cycle—encapsulated in "The Lost Matter." I view this process as ongoing, engaging in dialogue with, and intervening in, the marks that time leaves on these objects. It's a partnership embracing transformations wrought by time, merging with my creative intentions and visual narrative.
The evolving dialogue between what time communicates and the traces it leaves behind informs my creative process and beliefs. It involves crafting a new language that challenges viewers to see my work and objects through a different lens, resonating with those who appreciate fresh perspectives.
My vision is to redefine traditional art by creating innovative pieces that merge aesthetics with sustainability. Through my art, I aim to inspire others, highlighting the beauty of reclaimed materials and promoting environmental consciousness and boundless creativity.
I strive to experiment with techniques for transforming industrial cans and recycled materials, developing a distinctive and recognizable style. By participating in global exhibitions, I seek to showcase my work and establish myself as a leading female artist. Ultimately, I aim to expand my international presence and positively influence societal perceptions of women in art.
